This website is dedicated to telling the stories of the women killed by the infamous Whitechapel murderer. This website does not explore the clues surrounding the murders; it doesn’t relitigate the inquests; it doesn’t profile the investigators at the time; and it doesn’t put forward theories about the identity of the killer.
You might wonder why we’re dedicating an entire site to the victims. We started writing a book about the victims of the notorious serial killer about a year ago, and discovered that there isn’t much out there about the lives of the victims. So, we decided to compile our research and observations into a repository of information.
If you’re reading this late summer of 2020, you won’t find much content on here. But we will be posting new posts every two weeks or so in the form of reviews, interviews and general observations.
If you have any questions, feel free to email us. If you want to stay up to date with our content or are interested in our upcoming book, make sure to sign up for our newsletter. Both our email and our newsletter signup can be found on our Contact page.
The stories of the victims are stories about sexism, classism, media sensationalism, policing, government, community and violence. Their stories are as relevant now as ever.
We hope that you find the stories of the victims as moving and insightful as we have. Learning from their lives is the one way we have left to honor them.
